City Centre | Calgary

The City of Calgary annexed Parkdale back in 1910, but it was only after the Second World War in 1948 that Parkdale was established and developed. At the time, it was considered an outer city neighborhood, but the city’s never-ending expansion inevitably transformed it into an inner city community with numerous shops and malls in close proximity.

Aside from the 1910 farm ranch house, which used to belong to a ranching pioneer, the bulk of the real estate market in Parkdale features distinctly post-WWII housing. As time goes by, however, many homes are being replaced with new ones. Many single-family detached Parkdale homes are being renovated as a result of the interest in the housing market and condos and townhouses have also been constructed to accommodate new families and professionals.

Owners of Parkdale real estate know that they only need to drive or walk a few minutes to find what they need.
